Build around 9800X3D

Isn't that a B650? I'm mega confused. :D
there is a b650 rs wifi , b650E steel legend and b650E riptide...same names get used each year..same as asus with the strix range B5550-A, B550-F and B550-E (AM4).....then B650-A, B650E-F, B650E-E and x670E versions...now X870 versions (a being white, F black, E premium black)

the B650 pro rs though is a black and white mix...black board, white heatsinks etc

riptide and steel legend basically same board apart from colour/patterns. pro rs so close might as well be same..last model, the SL and rip were B650E boards compared to the pro rs being a B650 only board..this year, they're all X870 boards, no X870E

Thanks, sorry to @Viper² for hijacking your thread!

I'm also after a board for a 9800X3D. :) I have pretty simple requirements and I'm struggling. Black board, no Asus, no garish colours/graphics, 2.5 GbE LAN non-Intel LAN (10 GbE preferred but not willing to spend £500), 2x PCIe 4 NVMe slots with heat sinks and no CPU lane restrictions. After thinking about it I don't think I would benefit from PCI 5 or USB4. I don't use the PC for anything else but gaming and I don't think GPUs will make use of PCI 5 any time soon.

In the end I've gone for the Asus ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi. Managed to pick one up for around £200 in a Black Fri offer.
It has:
3x M.2 slots
PCIe 5 support
12 USB ports
4 SATA ports

Amongst this group of MOBOs, the Gigabyte B650 Aorus Master does seem to be favoured but the price is a lot higher (almost double).
