So, I'm soon to be building a new computer and have budgeted roughly £1k for it, that's not a hard limit as you're about to see. What I have currently is:
YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus Maximus VII Ranger - Devils Canyon Core i7 4790K CPU & Motherboard Bundle **£34 Saving** £357.94
1 x MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming Edition 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £289.99
1 x LG Flatron 29UM65-P 29" WideScreen Super-Wide LED Monitor £239.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Fury White 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C10 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit (HX318C10FWK2/16) £129.95
1 x Western Digital Caviar Red 3TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache WD30EFRX - OEM HDD £89.99
1 x Phanteks Enthoo Pro Mid Tower Enthusiast Case without Window £79.99
1 x SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 650W Fully Modular "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £71.99
Total : £1,259.83 (includes shipping : ).
I'm tempted to replace the GTX970 with an R9285 which will bring me a lot closer to my desired £1k mark but not sure if that's a good idea.
For reference my computer will be used for gaming, from things like Skyrim, Archeage and FF13 to things like Dota and Starcraft, so nothing massively demanding graphics wise. I also have no intention ever of overclocking.
Bearing all that in mind is there anything to change? I have a 240GB M500 waiting in a box and Windows 7 somewhere which will complete the above build.
Cheers in advance
