Hi guys, I've promised I'd build a gaming PC for my son for his Birthday.
I'm looking at getting an Overclocked bundle and buying the rest of the components to build myself. (first time).

I have already bought the case a Fractal Design Define R4.

I have a copy of windows 7, and a 24" Monitor. (1920x1280)

So my question is this. Does the spec below look ok? Or would you change any of the components?
Or would i actually be better off getting one of the new Haswell Bundles?

I'm set on getting a 7950 Card is the one below ok or is there a better/cheaper version?

Sorry for all the questions but with this being my first ever build and with it being a birthday present and want to make sure i get the best build i can.
My Budget to be around the £1000 mark.

Any changes/recommendations are welcome.
Thank's Chris.

Thank's for the replies guys, but ideally i'd like to get a pre-overclocked bundle as opposed to overclocking myself.

So you would recommend Haswell over Ivybridge?

So Haswell is the way to go. Never overclocked before, wouldn't know where to start. (not built a PC before).

Is the build stulid recommended (with the CPU @ stock speed) adequate for modern games at high settings?

Or should i get an Overclocked Haswell bundle?

Thank's for your advice it's most welcome. I will do some research and look into overclocking, then purchase soon.

I've gone with stulid's build but have concerns regarding the cooler clearance with the ram.
What do you think?
