I'm looking to do my first new build for a few years. Primarily a mid-level gaming rig that I'll overclock.
Unsure on the PSU and case but I've put in the one's I'm looking at.

Intel Core i5 750
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5670 1024MB GDDR5
Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Intel P55
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache
Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler
Xigmatek Utgard Midi Tower Case
OcUK Swift 650W Silent Power Supply

Let me know any thoughts if there's something that I could improve without massive extra cost or any components don't work well together etc.

Thanks

That Mobo is a bad overclocker, get the P55 USB3 instead it's about 20 quid more, but you get USB3.0 and heat sinks on the VRMs for better cooling.

Get a better PSU too, OCZ ModXStream 500W would be enough

I'd also squeeze an extra £50 out of the budget for a 5770 - you could subsidise this by going for a less expensive case. - Xigmatek Asgard if you really wanted to squeeze.

ETA: the 760 is actually £5 less than the 750 on OCUK atm too

Thanks, I'll def swap the motherboard for that one and get the 760.
Thinking of the Antec Sonata III with Earthwatts 500W power supply.

Do you think that would be a better option than the Asgard case with ModXStream 500W?

I can't really comment on that Antec case, I have the Asgard (and the ModXStream) and both have been good - if you wanted to spend more on the case the next step up is probably the Antec 300.

Even with the 5770 you should be alright with Stulid's suggestion of a CX400 - it'd also save you some monies, that you could spend on the case.

Not sure what your total budget is but here is my effort. As mentioned above go with a name branded PSU, OCZ and Corsair are pretty good. i5 760 is on offer this week and is cheaper than the 750.

TOTAL PRICE £639.83 inc VAT & Delivery.

Also definitely paying the extra for the 5770 over the 5650, if budget doesnt stretch then check out MM or flea bay for second hand ones, heard there are quite a few knocking about.

Maybe a AMD build?

£601

Or....£610 better GFX card but had to cut corners with other stuff.

Or a mixture of both
Im guessing your on a budget of £600
