i'm building a pc soon and i've gone through several iterations of builds, here's the latest one (think i'm done with the tweaking now). what do you guys think? anything you would recommend i change? i'm pretty much overbudget (£800) already so i definitely don't wanna spend any more, but it'd be nice if you could recommend cheaper componenets which would do me just as well. it's for internet/music usage as well as gaming at 1920x1080. i also want to leave myself upgrade room in each component (eg extra wattage psu) so i save money in the long run. i definitely don't think i'll go down the sli route with another 560 ti but for only £4 over the P67A-C45 (which is the same mobo but missing the second pciexpress slot) i may as well go for the G45 just in case i change my mind.

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £169.99

MSI P67A-G45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard ** B3 REVISION ** £101.99

Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £44.99

MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti Twin FrozR II 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £173.99

Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive £173.99

Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 600W Power Supply £79.99

Zalman Z7 Plus Midi Tower Case - Black £43.91

LG GH22NS70 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £16.99

Norton Internet Security 2011 - OEM (DVD 1 User) £17.99

Total: £838.82 including shipping

ps. I'm getting windows 7 free through my uni, that's why it's not included in basket

Looks good.

The only thing I would change is remove norton (there are better free alternatives) and change the PSU to this one (should be sufficient for SLI GTX 560Ti in the future).

If you want to save some real money then you may want to consider changing the SSD to a Vertex 2E and save £39. It's not quite as fast as the M4, but it is still a nippy SSD and great value.

+1 on changing the motherboard to a GD53 - it really isn't much more expensive and it is definitely a better board.

thanks for the feedback guys i'll change the PSU :). out of interest, in what way is the GD53 better than the G45? i compared the specs of the two on MSIs website and the only difference i could find was 2 pci express x16 slots, and a lack of firewire and internal USB3. is there a difference in component quality or performance? or overclocking potential? (i don't plan to OC anytime soon but will probably stick an aftermarket cooler on and do it in a year or two).

The GD53 has better quality parts(capacitors etc) a thicker quality PCB, supports SLI, it has a OCGenie button for a easy 4.2ghz overclock, its just better for £6 more.
