Build connection problem

Hi all,

Another noob question for you, sorry!

My new build includes an Antec 182 case, gigabyte motherboard and a x-fi music sound card. I have a couple of connection problems. There's a firewire cable from the front panel of the case but it doesn't seem to have a dedicated connector on the board. Does it fit on one of the usb connectors? It would seem to have the same plastic connector box as the usb cable.
Also, I thought you could connect the front panel real audio/hd audio connector to the soundcard directly. But there doesn't seem to be a suitable connection point on the card to match the cables.

This was the last thing I came across before I zonked off last night and I'm on work now so can't spend time browsing for an answer.

Any info gratefully recieved.

Ta.

It should say in the mobo manual were the firewire goes and the HD Audio needs to go directly into the motherboard.

If the motherboard is a GA-P35C-DS3R that doesnt support Firewire.

Not too sure about the other mobos though, which model is yours?
