Been asked by a friend to spec up a gaming pc for around £1000, come up with the following spec, please could you critique and/or check the spec to make sure it's sound please ? I'm biased towards MSI so would like some honest opinions on the below, keeping below the £1k :

Fractal Design R3 Black Pearl - £74.99
3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i5 3570K 3.40GHz Socket LGA1155 Retail - £179.98
SeagateBarracuda 7200.12 2TB 64MB Cache Hard Drive SATA 6 Gb/s 7200rpm - OEM £79.98
Crucial M4 7mm 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive - Retail £83.99
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit - £34.99
MSI Z77A-G45 Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) Motherboard - £87.98
Arctic Freezer i30 CPU Cooler - £33.74
Corsair CX 600W V2 ATX2.2 80 PLUS® Power Supply - £54.98
MSI GeForce GTX 670 TwinFrozr IV Power Edition OC 2048MB GDDR5 - £319.99

£950.62 inc vat & delivery

Spec components that would need to stay static
Case, CPU and Nvidia 670 GTX graphics

Spec components that can be changed are
RAM, Mobo, 2TB HDD, SDD, CPU HSF, PSU

Mobo would need to be a good easy overclocker for someone who's not built a pc for 5+years.

Usage for PC will be 90% gaming - 10% Surfing/Spreadsheets/Docs

Thanks for reading and your feedback

Thanks for the comments and suggestions so far, really appreciate them as I'm keen to make sure the advice I give is bulletproof. Will suggest the gigabyte board above, very nice reviews whilst the msi info on the board I specced is sparse. Keep the feedback coming if anyone else can spot a prob/suggest better alternatives.

P.s that's a cracking memory deal

Thanks again
