I made a previous thread but was told to wait for haswell to see if prices shifted but they haven't so I'm just going to go with an i5 3570k I guess cause it's slightly cheaper and overclocks better apparently. (Feel free to correct me)

What spec would you guys give?

CPU I want a i5 3570k and then I need a GFX Card, Ram, Mobo and a monitor, what would you guys suggest? I've got a case and PSU corsair 650w and hard drives.

Mainly for gaming/streaming.

A tiny bit over your budget, but something like this? If you need to get under £600 could go for a 7870 or a Nvidia 660.

Why do you want a 3570k rather than a 4670k?

Prices are pretty similar and its newer tech.

The spec above needs a better motherboard (voltage locked I think)..

I don't know just read 3570k was cheaper and saw performance as similar and though meh May as well just go 3570k.

I could be convinced otherwise though.

If you're buying everything brand new you may as well go for the newer tech - the price difference is non-existent.

If you could grab a 3570k cheap from someone who's upgrading for example it might be worth it, but brand new I'd go for newer.

Ahem....... Haswell Core i5 4670K, RAM, MOBO & cooler so overclocking possible out of the box, and a GTX 660 ...... and a monitor that you requested, for the saving of £30 do you really want to get a dead socket instead of having an upgrade path.

Considering the small price difference the extra 5%-10% increase is worth it anyway. Nit to mention that getting a haswell chip now will give you the opportunity to upgrade to a broadwell chip...

Unless they are an absolute bargain (half price) there no point in getting a dead socket.

Thanks for the advice.

You guys are right I didn't think about it, like you all said dead socket and no upgrade of CPU in future if I ever require it.

I will probably try go haswell then.

Also that deal you linked was really good considering it includes a cooler already.
