Hiya guys,

Building a system for a friend on a budget of £460 max.

System will be used for gaming and uni work, so a bit of multitasking etc.
The components listed is all he needs.

I was thinking something along the lines of this:

Cheers for the reply nick,

would that fx4130 be alright in the likes of bf4 though compared to the 6300?

The fx 4130 will struggle. I suggest to go for the 6300 minimum and also to look into if there are problems with that UD3 board because i hear some of the revisions have a few sketchy issues with them. If you can afford the extra cash, the Asus evo will be a good choice if it turns out the boards older revisions have problems and you don't want to risk having to change board if you run into issues. If your friend can expand the budget to get a 7870 or a 7950, it would be well worth it!

Probably not and without the budget for a decent after market cooler, achieving any decent overclock will meam silly high temps.
If he could stretch another £100 he could have a better board, decent cooler and the processor you originaly spec'd.
