Hey all,

My daughter keeps banging on about a white RGB PC and with it being her 18th birthday, i'm thinking about treating her to one but i want to see what a decent build will cost me first! She currently has a PC and i'm thinking i could remove the SSD from hers and chuck it into the new PC to save a couple of pounds. Does the below look okay so far? Or should i look at switching some components? Also can somebody recommend a white cooler? Both AIO and Air cooling as i'm unsure of which to go for at the moment.

Thank you!

M-ATX option that will offer 90-95% of the performance in games if not closer, the 7600X3D isn't as quick as the 9800X3D but it's still damned fast.

Included both an white RGB air cooler and an AiO, both are excellent products for the price and more than ample for gaming loads and the CPU's in question, which is partially why I opted for the listed case due to the 360mm rad support.

Asrock did have some issues with the 9800X3D but they should be resolved by now with bios updates, I'm not aware of any problems with the previous gen X3D chips so opted for that motherboard for the aesthetic and fact it's B850.

Your PSU choice is overkill for a 9070XT, but obviously the overhead is nice to have in the long term.

Thank you for your reply.

How are the XFX cards? I heard the cooling on them isn't the best and they are also not very good when it comes to RMAs?

I also have an Asrock mobo myself and a 9800X3D, and I always wonder if today will be the day when it doesn't turn on :D

Honestly I couldn't say about XFX so it is worth doing some reading on them, the last XFX card I owned was a ATI 5750 back in 2009.

If you're really wanting to bling things up for your daughter I'd personally go for the Asrock 9070XT you initially selected and look into vertically mounting it to show the fans off, but that would probably necessitate an AiO.

Sapphire Pure now £600 (for now)

You can't go wrong with the Pulse for that price tbh.

I'd not hang fire for too long with those cheaper Sapphire cards however, I think there's the black variant for £569 currently too. There's a thread about it elsewhere but I believe Gibbo stated that they're only going to be that price in limited numbers of around 500 so they might sell out fast.
