Hi,
Im out of the loop on C2D, except for knowing they present better bang for buck than current AMD offerings. I have always been a great fan of AMD and have a long history with them. I always knew how to tweak and get the max out of the AMD cpus.
I need a new rig for gaming, audio editing, video editing and the usual stuff.
I would prefer having atleast dual core so I can run several apps without hick-ups.
Im looking at the e6300 or e4300. I would much appreciate if someone could tell me which motherboard to get with it. The predicaments are sub £80, GLAN, SATA2, PCI EX, stable and solid and with excellent overclocking capabilities.
It should not be highly advanced a la DFI for s939. More like the A8N series from ASUS fits my needs.
Ram wise I'm just as lost
I still think DDR and low latencies and dividers. I would like 2gb with the C2D, and again bang for buck which allows for good overclocks.
Im stumped as to what graphics to get. The X1950XT 256mb for £125 looks like a bargain. I know the 320mb version of the 8800GTS is highly rated by many, but from looking at different reviews and benchmarks, at higher resolutions the X1950 has a slight lead. The down side I guess is the insane power consumption of the X1950. I hear the 8800GTS needs less power?
PSU I am looking at the 520w Corsair, but if there are similar for less monies please advice.
Thanks a lot for any help.
