Having been a mac user for the last ten years I am completely out of the loop for what is good with regards to building a pc for gaming and VR

My budget is about £2000 I have keyboard, mouse, headset and a windows license. My budget doesn't include purchasing an oculus rift but I do need a monitor. I would like it to be upgradable down the road. I presume sound is mostly on board these days as I rarely see anyone mention a soundcard.

Is WiFi options built into the motherboard or do you need a card for this?

HI and welcome,

• You can build a PC or does it need to be pre-built for you?
• What Windows license do you have?
• Any particular colour scheme you might like or size of case?

Onboard sound is fine for 99% of users, it has come on a long way.

As for WiFi there are some boards with it, but usually you need to add it on (card or USB device), but I would reccomend a proper wire connection (with power adapters for example) to the modem for the better latency than WiFi.

I will most likely get this one built for me then upgrade stuff myself down the road.
I have a windows 10 pro license which I had bootcamped on my mac but didn't really use.
No preference on colour or size of case.

I will have a wired connection for now but I will be moving house in about 6 months and not sure what the options will be there but I'll make sure to sort out a wired connection.

Recommend a few on here with the focus of VR mainly to use Aorus cards. Bit more pricier then your budget Palit dual but some come with 4 year UK warranty which is a bonus.
Means you can hook up your VR headset to the front of the case , internal cables used to go from the card to a VR panel in the 5.3" DVD bay

Ocuk do some solid systems, bit if something's not to your taste of cost then you can out together a list and they will build - with a build charge on top of course.
