Hi all,

I'm looking for a PC for my girlfriend to use. It doesn't have to be anything fancy or high end as it will only be used for browsing, youtube and word processing.

I don't need a monitor, OS or keyboard and mouse. Budget is £300.

Also I would like it to be easily upgraded if I wanted to play games on it or image editing but I do have a gaming laptop for this so wont be needed straight away.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £338.56
(includes shipping: £11.70)

16GB RAM now as the board only has 2dimm slots.

You maybe able to ditch the HDD and just use the SSD and buy an i5 instead of the i3.

The case is cheap but the PSU is good and you can add a gfx card easily.

Its £326.86 with free delivery which you get.

The case also has no fans fitted.

You wont need any until you do fit a gfx card.

The PSU sits at the top of the case and you will have its fan pointing down so there will be that exhausting any heat.

At the front of the case is room behind the front fascia to fit a 120mm fan but due to the placing of the system fan header on the motherboard you will also likely want a 3pin or 4pin PWM fan cable extension.

I could probably up my budget to £350 to get a better CPU and case. Also a SSD won't be needed for now. If I did in the future, I could add one in.
