Hi guys

i am just wondering if this set up will be ok swtor... this is also the top end of my budget... so any advice would be greatly welcomed

on my old system i have a Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache .. so i am not to sure if i have to upgrade my HD

Welcome to the forums :)

Your old HD will be fine in the new PC.

Also, I'd change that PSU to a respected named brand, like Corsair, XFX etc, you don't want to scrimp on the PSU.

Others will be along in a bit to offer a full spec, just thought I'd throw in a little info :)
 
Everything is fine with that spec - apart from the PSU. Please don't put that low quality PSU anywhere near such nice components.

Instead, go for a good quality PSU like this one or this one.

Not a big issue, but you may want to consider going for this slightly cheaper RAM, it is good quality and just as quick.

Also, instead of the OCUK vantage case, I would recommend this £32 Bitfenix case - it gets a very good write-up (though go for the Alpha version if you find it in stock- as it has room for top-mounted fans).

If you already have a Seagate 1TB SATA hard drive that is working fine, then instead of buying another one I would re-use the one you have and spend the money on a nice SSD like this one - to put your OS, applications and a couple of games on (like TOR). You should find the performance increase due to the SSD very nice indeed.

Will you be needing an Operating System?
