Right, Mum's pc has died a death so time for something a bit better and not pre-built.

Budget would be around £300 for the following;

CPU
RAM
MOBO (Mini Itx)
PSU
possibly an SSD or 2x HDDs in RAID.

I'm thinking
i3 (£90 on THIS WEEK ONLY),
8gb (~£40)
Asrock H61M-ITX (£54)
Cooler Master Elite Power 500w (£30)
which should leave some room for some drives or 2nd hand ssd.

I'd also like to point out the Antec PSU I used is bronze rated for efficiency the OCZ 500W in the OPs "wish list" just isnt and is pretty naff to be honest.

Its not that isnt even power effecient its just in general a bad PSU. More like a generic than anything else.

Never stopped you spec'ing it in the past ;)

I would trust it more than generic garbage PSUs but its the efficiency that bothers me. For a PSU to be rated even bronze it has to be atleast 80% efficient at low, mid and heavy load. The CM Elite power (got the brand right this time lol) might be cheaper but in the long run you are paying more to run the rig. Seeing as PSUs tend to have long warranties it will be used for quite some time. The XFX 450W would also be a good altenative to the Antec I used.

Right back on track.

How do the AMD CPU's compare to the Intel CPU's then? Must be a reason or is the availability of Intel Mini-Itx motherbaords that bad? :(

Thanks DoomedSpeed,

I've specced the following; how's it look?

AMD A5600K Black Edition - £79.99
Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H - £61.99
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 - £36.99

Thanks

You need faster RAM, Trinity's iGPU works better with faster RAM such as:

YOUR BASKET
1 x TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (TXD38G2133HC11DC01) £39.95
Total : £43.86 (includes shipping : £3.26).

Also, what case is this going in?
