I am a little wary of posting this as I have just found out that the memory I purchased after asking for a build on these forums might infact not compatible at all.

I was hoping someone who KNOWS these would help.

I ordered:

Asus M4A79XTD-evo and these:

http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=221

Not knowing what I was doing and hoping people could help me, obviously people are giving answers without even knowing themselves and I would like OC to be aware of this and other posters to be wary also.

I have been having problems with games restarting/driver/Time out detection and recvoery and 'AMD Northbridge' crashes. Many troubleshooters point to the memory which promted me to look into it.

i was hoping that someone could give me some advice. I have tried the gskill forums, which are useless so far as i am registered but can not post.

Thank you so much for that.

I will have a gander through my manual. I have been through the BIOS afew times so the look of it is not so fightening :)

Well I had a go.

I am here posting so at least it booted!

They only problem I encountered was that the Frrequency will only accept : (AUTO) (800) (1067) (1333) or (1600).

I chose (1600) which assumed was the same thing.

CPUZ is currently showing

NB Frequency 2000.0MHz

DRAM Frequency 800MHz
FSB:DRAM 1:4
CL=8.0 clocks
tRCD=8 clocks
tRP = 8 Clocks
tRAS = 24 clocks
tRC = 40 clocks
CR = 2T

'SPD' says Memory slot selection
Max Bandwitdh PC3-10700H (667MHz)

Does this look about right?

Yes, thanks i found all this out when looking bits up.

The f3-128000 is in the list but.. will see how it goes.

CPUz said the freq was still 800MHz - is this simply becuase I am not using much or is something still not right?
