I need some help with my son's new gaming PC.

It's built and powers on but there is no output to the monitor from the mobo VGA port.

The MSI B350 mobo has error LEDs and two are lit;
1. BOOT - indicates the booting device is not detected or fail.
2. GPU LED - indicates the CPU's iGPU is not detected and you need to install a graphic card.

The boot device (SSD) is currently blank, so I'm kind of expecting that one but the GPU LED is a puzzler. There is a Zotac 1070 card fitted but as a bit of a luddite I have no idea if it should be working at this point.

I only have VGA or HDI monitors, if that makes any difference.

I've just tried it and different LEDs illuminated.

VGA - indicates GPU is not detected or fail.

So now I'm unsure if I read the LEDs correctly first time.
I have put the 1070 back in and booted with and without trying to get to BIOS and only the GPU LED is illuminated.

She lives!

I moved the GPU to the other PCIE slot, plugged the monitor in to it and just left it to boot. After a good long while the monitor displayed the no bootable device message. Result.
I now have a very happy son playing Minecraft...:rolleyes:
