Hi

I received my components yesterday, assembled them, but having trouble getting it to work.

When I turn on the computer, all the fans start going and I can hear the hard drive running etc, however it goes for about 10 seconds then I hear 1 long beep followed by two short. And I get no picture on my monitor.

My motherboard has inbuilt graphics so i've tried it without the graphics card and the same thing happens. I've also tried it without RAM.

I'm fairly sure I've plugged in everything correctly.

Only possible theory is that the PSU is not enough to power it all? Its a Coolermaster Igreen 500W

The new components are below

Any help appreciated :D

Thanks :)

I can't tell whether the motherboard is really working. It turns on, but onboard graphics won't work. Hence the beeps (in manual it says an error occured and it doesn't have video working to show it or something)

Just tried it with another PSU (480W) and it did the same

When the graphics card is unplugged a 480 or a 500 should easily be enough shouldnt it? Even if the CPU is already overclocked.

Thanks

Just tried a bios reset (taking out CMOS battery while power is off is the same as using jumpers right?) and no luck

Looks like I'll be returning to OC

Ok, i thought i'd double check, and I used the jumper. It now powers on and gets to POST, however its not using the graphics card (can't detect it even though the fans spinning etc)

Sorry this is probably getting confusing to read.

I just noticed that I only had one 6pin plugged into the graphics card (although I had them in before).

So now when I turn it on with both 6 pins in the graphics card it juts does nothing, fans come on but no beeps no nothing.
