Hey guys, Wondering if you could help me.

My Girlfriend is after a system for basic uni work and watching Movies on.

In my head I've calculated it to be around £300 ish including postage. That's with a SSD 120G + 500GB HDD but no Graphics card.

I'm on my phone and don't have the patience to hunt down the components on the website with it.

In my head Im thinking of these specs

Case - £30
Mobo - £50
CPU - £50 ~ Quadcore 3GHz
PSU - £30 ~ 500w
RAM - £20 ~ 4Gb
HDD - £40 ~ 500GB
SSD - £80 ~ 120GB

The reason I've taken out the SSD is that, building this gives me the excuse to buy a bigger one for myself and give her my old one.

This would be a better route as you could always upgrade to a 'k' chip in the future if you wanted more performance.

ah yes, didn't think about future upgrades.
Thanks for the advice. Most likely will go with your recommendation.

slightly unfair as you get free postage and I get charged £11 for the same stuff. Although I do live in Northern Ireland It's the same price to ship stuff.
