build is done... anything to do before power up?

sorry for all the questions, last one i hope :D

ive built the pc, everything is pugged in where it should be, im assuming i now boot up and go straight into bios to set everything up?

i have windows 7 downloading at the moment, do i need to format the hdd before i load windows 7? or does it do it for me during installation?
 
not unless there was an OS on the hdd before, no need for a format

double check everything and then press the button:D
 
ok, turns out the download manager has told me windows 7 is corrupt and now i have to download it again! typical.

once thats done i'll hit the magic button... then start posting again how i fix a blown pc :P haha
 
they are on my camera which i left at home... ive brought the pc round to my folks house as they have 20mb broadband and i have usb internet from vodafone lol

well ive turned it on... nothing went bang and im now in bios :D

ok mate might as well use 20meg lol,or you be there all week on that provider.its nice anit it when it boots up straight away i was well chuffed when mine did.:D
 
yeah, its great here, huge house, great food and rapid internet... bit of a contrast to my little flat with usb internet and 5 min quick cooked meals haha.
