Build log Corsair Obsidian 800D

Im getting close to starting now so Ill update in real time...... Couldnt resist any longer...

Rough specs are as follows

Case: Corsair Obsidian 800D
CPU: AMD 965 C3 Stepping
MB: DFI LanParty DK 790FXB-M3H5
Memory : Corsair 4gb (2x2gb) Dominator Gt Dhx Memory Kit Cl7 BEMP Support
Storage : 1 x 500GB F3, 2 x 32GB Corsair Extreme editions
Cooling : Alphacool Highflow (CPU) and Nexxos SLI for NB
Graphics : EVGA GTX 295 Hydro Copper

Need to add the tubing, reservoir, fans, pump.........

But should be in progress on that soon

Love the build so far, would have liked one myself but i've kids to feed .

Although DFI motherboards may be good; whoever picks the colours needs an eye test.

The aquastream pump looks like a neat modded Eheim 1250, how does it compare with the usual DCC ones ?

HI mate, not bought yet but gonna be fan controlling them, have had kazas before though and the noise / airflow tradeoff is very favourable IMO.

Slow but steady progress, having to change res to a smaller one and get a fan controller before I can really press on to the next phase.....

Have my build running on air in my 800d at the moment, only received it over the weekend.

Will be removing the watercooling from my TJ07 and putting it into the 800d at the end of the month.

What size res was that?

The 250? Or was it bigger? I was thinking of using the 250 so can you let me know if there are issues fitting that.

Got a 400 by mistake, sending it back and swapping for 250 as i cant fit it in :-(

Are you going to list you wc gear?

Tempted with that pump also lol will have to let us know how it is, and what functions are on the usb side of things. Im using a ddc+1 at the moment. But looking to over haul my complete wc setup.
