Build Log: Photomonster

The places you've put the cathodes ruins the look of the high quality build. Theidea of them is that you hide them up, and you just see the glow from them not the tube. In my nine hundred, there is room for 2x 12" ones at the top of the case. One above the window, the other above the mobo. None can be seen from lookng into the side.

Nice pics m8, what camera/lens did you use?

At a guess.... Canon EOS 1d Mk III with 100mm F/2.8 USM Macro and 580EX II flash :p

Oh and a very nice post, one of the best "build logs" I've seen for a while! Enjoy ;)

Bang on! 100mm was a bit long, but it was the right lens for the job.

I agree it could use some work, although I wanted the tubes to illuminate the board. There are shadow problems or fitting problems elsewhere in the case. I'll probably revisit it when my life calms down a bit! i.e. when my three children stop requiring 24x7 attention!

very nice build  i'm toying with the idea of getting one of them SSD's does it come with that bay adapter?

No, you have to buy the adaptor separately.

Stability of the rig is great. It hasn't been off or rebooted since my last post. My previous rig could sometimes stay up for several hours!
