First off, for those of you expecting top end hardware, mods and water cooling then I am afraid this one is not for you. funds don't allow this so this is a standard build log with basic parts and a fair amount of pictures.
So, with that out of the way here are my PC specs
Right, lets get started with the pictures.
First Picture is of my PC in its current state, the case is from 2005-2006 time and is the oldest part of the PC.
And the front, as you can see it has seen better days and the case doesn't even have space for SSDs hints why they are sitting the way they are.
Another picture of the PC moved from under the desk and on the table.
First thing to do was to get a new case, some fans and some new sata cables from OCUK so ordered the following
Case - NZXT source 340
Fans - Corsair SP 120s x 2
Cables - Akasa Sata cables x 2
Next was to take apart my PC, give everything a good clean and throw away that horrible, 9 year old case.
SSDs
GPU
PSU
RAM
Mobo, CPU cooler before giving it a clean
After
Old case after everything removed
And with the side panel back on
Now its all be stripped down, cleaned and ready to go in the new case.
When the delivery turned up next day the first thing I had to do was hide the Haribo from my son!
Parts
And
So, unboxing the new case
Then the fans
Once done, installed the SSDs in to the case
Then on to the fans, mobo and CPU cooler
PSU was installed next but its hidden away under the SSDs so moved on to the GPU
Put the PC back on my desk as its all finished
After spending a few days looking at it i didnt like the 24 pin power cable and GPU power cables route so re done these to try and get it looking better. also noticed the gpu was not level so stole one of my sons building blocks to prop up the gpu!
And with the side panel back on as well.
Well that is everything, powered on with no issues and a vast improvement over my old case.
if you had not noticed I tried to stick with the blue\black colour theme as I had all the parts already and wanted it to match.
thanks for looking
