Hi guys!
This will be my second build, due to giving my PC to my father. It will be a X58 build, which is quite late for an X58 rig, which is the reason the title is XfiftyL8. I haven't acquired all the parts yet due to a tight budget, but have purchased the following:

Specifications:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i7 950 1366 CPU £75
1 x Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 £70
1 x ASUS Rampage 3 Extreme 1366 Motherboard £45
1 x ASUS AMD Radeon HD 5770 Direct CU £40
1 x OCZ CoreXtreme 500w '80 Plus' Power Supply £35
1 x Western Digital 500gb HDD £10
Total : £275 (includes shipping : £10.50).

In the future I will be wanting to purchase a new case, PSU etc... So for now I am going to use a cheap Casecom or whatever case and a 500w OCZ PSU.

I will post pictures tomorrow (hopefully) when my motherboard is arriving :). Right now I have the CPU, case, PSU, AMD Radeon 5770, a HDD, some RAM and an optical drive :).

In the future I will be buying something similar to these:

  1. Fractal Design Arc Midi R2
  2. Thermaltake SMART Series 730w NEW version
  3. New HDD
  4. New GPU
  5. MOAR RAM
  6. Some fans for the new case
So as of now, the specs stand like this:

  1. Cheap case
  2. OCZ 500w PSU
  3. ASUS HD Radeon 5770 Direct Crapu cooler
  4. Intel Core i7 950 1366
  5. ASUS Rampage III Extreme Motherboard
  6. 500gb WD HDD
  7. Some Samsung Optical Drive
  8. 2x4 gb 1600mHz Teamgroup Elite RAM

My motherboard has arrived and tested working :). Soon the installation will continue.

Good to see you finally upgrading from that Celery :D

That board looks great with that official Intel cooler

Yeah man, I think I might not use the case com case, and wait for a bit till I have money for the Fractal case :). I am still deciding.

What happened to your 700/800D? (cant remember which it was)

Yes, about that, I had to sell it because my mother said it was too big, and my desk is quite small, so my legs couldn't fit underneath properly :(. I had to let it go. Now I use my Antec 300 for my Celeron 'rig'. It also sticked out underneath my desk quite badly, so I would hurt my leg a lot :D :p

I ordered one of those refurb H100's to tide me over, but I have a longer term plan to custom W/C. :)

I was originally going to use my PC-K62, so I have a GT Stealth 280 rad here, but it wont fit in the 600T so i'm gonna try and swap it for a 240. I also need to sell my current case and a couple of my other old parts before I can look into buying my pump/res (thinking D5 bay/res) :) I already have the block and compressions etc.

Eventually i'll get a 670/760TI and get a block on that, then put a 200MM rad in the front of the 600T as well, but that will probably come after I have a bit of money in from work :(

Yeah, I am hoping to watercool my rig in the future too :), going to get a GPU and PSU first though.

Yeah, I am very happy about getting this :).
I just found out my old case was too small, postponed till I get a new case :(.

Hi,
I have now acquired a GTX 470 from my brother, and also a new PSU from my brother too :).

PNY GTX 470
Xigmatek Tauro 600w

So now I could water cool very easily if I get a hundred or so pounds.
