So i recieved all my new componants earlier today first time i have ever put together a computer alltogether on my own.

i decided to purchase

Zalman z9 plus
i5 2500k
Gigabyte Z68A-D3
2x2gb corsair xms3 1600ghz
hyper 212 plus cpu cooler
xfx 650w psu

I reused my old hard drive, and at the moment my really old 7300gt graphics card. am undecided what to buy atm. but will be upgrading to either a 560ti or a 6950 within the next wek i think.

after a bit of work it is all put together now. i think that i did it correct, as it seems to be working.

my only problem is im unsure if i connected some of the connecters to the mobo correctly. was unsure which the positive and negetive on the hard drive light, reset switch, amd power switch was. how do i know if these are connected correctly?

now the only thing is trying to do something with the mass of wires with this psu. i cant believe that there is soo many.

will post some pics soon

The switch polarity doesn't matter at all, all they do is short the two pins together.

If either the Power or HDD LED are not working then just swap the connectors ends around, you wont damage the LEDS by having the polarity incorrect.
