Help building a gaming rig =)

Hi, just a normal guy here who enjoys gaming, I'm no computer genius, nor do I know anything about the insides of computers.. Wondering if someone can help build me a computer for £600.00, and one for £1000.00.

I currently have a Core 2 Duo with a 9600 Nvidia Card..

I play Bad Company 2, and will be playing Battlefield 3 when it's out. I watch movies and browse the internet. So which is ever best for my use..

I will either attempt to build it myself, or I have a friend who is willing.

Thanks =)

Sorry to bump, just wondering if I could get a good ideal of what to buy for a decent gaming computer.

I fear this thread will get kicked to the back of the forum pages.. Thanks =)

Figured I'd aim for halfway between your min and max ;)

It can be done cheaper, especially if you don't want to overclock - but that defeats the purpose of SB ;) Alternatively, could get an pre-overclocked bundle. Money could be saved by re-using optical drive and HDD from current case.

Cool, so I can go ahead and order all that now? Seems okay to me =)

You could indeed!

Might be worth waiting, I'm jet-lagged so might have missed something on offer that another member may pick up on - but does look right to me, and is what I'd drop £800 on.
