Currently giuded by space I need to change my current PC for a shuttle or similar, in fact the maximum depth I can go to is 35cm, my current PC will not fit as its an ATX case.

I am quite willing to purchase new items if required but if I can use any of my existing bits, it would make life easier. Failing that I will pass on my current PC and purchase new bits.

I currently have a P$ 3.06 ghz CPU, socket 478 with 1GB of Geil DDR Dual Channel 184 pin RAM and a SATA HD which I will probably keep anyway, slipping a new HD in the old machine if required.

As for the shuttle, I do not play any games at all so no need for a gaming machine. I do however spend hours on the net and like to listen to a bit of music whilst doing so. The most I do is basic office stuff and maintain a web site. I do like a little speed in the tasks I do and my current configuration works well, in fact I would keep it if it fit into its new home and space was not as tight as it is. I also like to have as little PC noise as possible, my current PC has a Zalman Fan and a Silent PSU as well as a silent fan added to my ATI Radeon AGP Card.

So all in all, can anyone configure me a shuttle that would meet my requirements without breaking the bank ?

I have looked at the shuttles and also the Asus AS T2-PH2 barebone case as the measurements met my requirements.

Look forward to hearing your replies.

hmm the cheapest shuttle case that ocuk sells is the

shuttlesk21gxq5.jpg

Shuttle XPC SK21G at £126.84

if your not gonna be gaming this list of parts should be ok for net use and a media pc.

Shuttle XPC SK21G = £126.84
AMD Sempron 64 2800+ 1.6GHz = £46.94
GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC3200 Value = £73.97
Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 160GB = £44.59
Sony DWG120A 16x16 DVD±RW (Silver) = £26.97
OcUK Value Floppy Drive - Silver = £6.99

there is another option you could go for now as well by making a custom 1, by using a sff case like a silver stone sugo, i have 1 its biger than a shuttle insize but a lot more space to work with.

good luck and i hope this info gives you a guide on what you want to do
