Right so here is my build, most of the parts you see here i have in my office still un-opened becasue i cannot decide on the motherboard explained under pic -- With a,little help from a local business i have been able to get this entire build and the new mobo at about £300 for an amazing £1600 so money well spent as i see it as the RRP for this kinda build we are looking at about 2k!

So as you can see i have an extremely high-end build and therefore i need a very high-end Motherboard to be able to max out these components.

Now the *Headache* I was orignally planning on buying the Asus Rampage III Extreme as soon as it hits the market in about 4 weeks Aprox.

So i thought right i'll wait for that as its going to be a sweet motherboard that can easily handle anything you throw at it : Specs seen here thanks to -VK- of Asus.

Its a Great looking board and seems to have an amazing spec from the information given by -VK- of Asus.

Now i was pretty set on buying this board as soon as it came but now with the parts sitting getting dusty downstairs i am kinda thinking is it realy worth the wait, or should i look into boards that will give me just the same amount of performance that i can but and be using it next week!

Now other competitors to the board as i see it are the new USB 3.0 and 6gb/s boards on OCUK as a lot of them can easily be overclocked and kept stable with the PCI x16 slots for my Crossfire that i will be using, mabey even the R2E?

As for the R3E it does the nice overclocking profiles and the new bluetooth feature which will be fun to play with aswell as multiple other extremely *tweaked* setting for overclockeing, stability and performance.

So any suggestions, should i wait for the R3E or settle for a board that i can buy today?

Anyinput will be GREAT.

Thanks in advance,

Schoie

Personally, I would get the Rampage III. Your build is very high spec, might as well get the mobo to match. Of course if you really can't wait then get one now, definitely with 16x/16x Crossfire, and if you can then USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s, then swap out the HDD for this

A lot of things in there i would have argued against, especially in a rig of the price.

I'd like too know this too, apart from the ram being top-grade silly expensive stuff, I think its truely awesome spec with no performance concerns for a very long time.

No doubt a cheaper AMD spec :p

They pop up all over OCUK these days as a "better alternative" :p

Because other than going the cheaper AMD route that spec is great and i wouldnt change anything
