Waiting for my case to arrive, so want to test all the components, but I am sure there is no problem with my idea, to just build it out of the case on my wooden desk?
Yup, will be no problem. Do not put it on the anti-static bags. They are only designed to be antistatic on the inside. Just stick it on a bit of cardboard.
