anyone got any thoughts / opinions? or can you spot any bottlenecks that may occur in the system (i know that RAM most definatly won't bottleneck anything :P)

Also just as additional info, i'll be buying a physX card aswell.

1st: didn't notice the crossfire bit heh, thanks

2nd: the reason i went with 8gb of ram is partially for future proofing, and partially because i figured it may be useful, next year in uni we start doing a lot of art stuff, which would include things like maaya and 3dsmax. And tbh i don't want to have to wait several hours for the damn thing to finish doing what its doing. (that and i'll probably be running home when i'm finished too.)

3rd: i may downgrade to having 2x 300gb in raid0 and just buy a single extra hd for data instead.

4th: i've always been unsure about the physX card. which is why i threw that in there (was wondering why it was slowly disappearing from stores etc)

5th: you mentioned the 9600's in sli being a waste, from what i'd seen these cards were practically made for SLi, any suggestions on a single card around the same total price which would have around the same performance?
