Oops, apologies. I think I broke the rules by posting a link to another site.
The essence of the post was whether should I build a gaming PC based on an AMD Ryzen 5 5500/6500XT for circa £500 or should I buy a Grade A refurbed unit based on an Intel Core i5- 6400/GTX 1650. Below are the T&Cs for the refurbed unit:
This is a Grade A device. All of the components and hardware will be in good working order without any known faults or issues. The Case is brand new.
Your computer comes with a 1 Year Return to Base Warranty so in the unlikely event that a fault occurs within your first year we will collect your machine from you repair/replace any faulty components and return the device back to you at no extra cost.
No. If you are looking for a system around that area then do a little step up for 5600 and RX 6600. They are both better performers and worth the little extra money, the RX 6500xt is in particular a bad choice.
If you were to build a similar system to this then you would be getting all new parts and far better performance and lead to a longer lived system. By buying new you can pick and choose so maybe a better mobo based around B660 or a larger SSD. Some items have gone up in price recently so shop around and look for the best prices.
