So I was contemplating some upgrades in another thread and came up with this idea as another topic.

Current PC:
CPU: Intel i7 920 D0
MOB: Asus Rampage II Extreme
RAM: Corsair Dominator, 12GB, 6-Dimm's (Triple-Channel)
GPU1: ATI 5850 //Not-Crossfire
GPU2: ATI 5850 //Not-Crossfire
SPU: Xonar DS
HDD1: WD 1TB Black //Raid0
HDD2: WD 1TB Black //Raid0
HDD3: WD 1TB Black //Raid0
PSU: Cooler Master 850 Watt.
Case: Silverstone Raven RV02.

Change Concept:
HDD4: OCZ Agility 120GB //Raid0
HDD5: OCZ Agility 120GB //Raid0
GPU1: EVGA GTX 570 2.5GB
GPU2: EVGA GTX 570 2.5GB
Notes: I'm thinking, want to strip out the current air CPU cooler and replace it with water, as well as get water blocks for both the GTX 570's.
The Rig is used mostly for graphical purposes 3D/Video Editing.

Opinions?

Bump?.

Aside from the first post questions, It is OK to raid SSD?, I presumed so, but I read someone where about some problems involved, and mention about SSD drives being relatively unreliable in lifespan?

I wouldn't raid ssd to be honest. Lifespan of a SSD is pretty good. Better than normal mechanical hard drives.

When installing all this, at least install a fresh windows and install windows on one SSD then games on another for games for lightning windows start up speeds and getting into games faster!

Raiding SSD doesn't have a good speed return? or is it more than a single SSD already has more than enough?

Or do you mean performance would simply be better with the OS on one and applications/games on the other?

I probably should have mentioned that the "change concept", is a shopping list as opposed to currently owned hardware, I was wanting advice and suggestions based on that too : )

More onto the topic of water cooling, the rig (i7 920, 2x GTX 570 2.5GB), would I see a large improvement in the temperatures on these components for <£400?, And is it advisable over standard Air Cooling?

I was just looking into liquid cooling, since i'm told two GTX 570's near each other generate some intense heat under load, and 3D rendering work is like nuclear meltdown for graphics cards.

If the air coolers will suffice that's fine, I have a megahalems push/pull on the i920 as is.
