I've specced this system so far and am not looking to spend much more (800 max).

Looking to start PC gaming rather than buying a new gen console and perhaps mine a little

Case, HDD, monitor and peripherals are already sorted.

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £239.99
1 x Asus M5A99X PRO R2.0 AMD 990X (Socket AM3+) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £119.99
1 x AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8320 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail £119.99
1 x Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE120BW) £86.99
1 x Corsair CS750M 750W Semi-Modular 80+ GOLD Certified Power Supply (CP-9020078-UK) £79.99
1 x Avexir Core Blue Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U16000904G-2CW) - Blue Light £59.99
1 x Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler £49.99
Total : £766.52 (includes shipping : £8.00).

If in the future I wanted to crossfire with another 280x would it be worth it or would I get a cpu bottle neck?

also

Would the chosen PSU support this AMD system and crossfired 280x?

Thanks
