Hey chaps,

I know you probably hate threads like this but as a layman I have no other choice than to seek all of your expert advice.

So far after reading and reading I have come up with the following build (below).

1. I will be using this build for gaming and 3d art. I'm a games artist by trade so most of my work is real-time (Programs used 3d studio max, photoshop, unrea development kit).
2. My budget is all but maxed out with this build at about £980
3. I don't need an operating system.

My questions are
4. Is this a solid build?
5. Is there anything I can make cheeper or should spend more on?
6. Is the I7 3750k worth the extra 70£?

I know i am asking a lot but any feedback please give me a reason for your choice im keen to learn more.

Thanks for the help in advance. I look forward to seeing your replies.

Paul.

Hey chaps, thanks for the advice.

With the work I do, I need the slightly better driver set you get with Nvidia cards.

Apart from the power supply which i will change how dose everything else look? Is this worth the £980?

Are there any places you would reduce or increase spending?

Hey, thanks for the heads up with the mobo.

I will not be overclocking super hard until I have learnt a lot more so i am going to stick with that cooler for now.

I don't know if you noticed but i have 16gig of ram in this system. Is going for 4x4gig sticks a good idea?

If I was to downgrade my mobo what would I loose going from the Asrock to the gigabyte?

Thanks again for all the replies. Appreciate it.
