Hi,

Current System:

Built on summer '09 if my memory serves me correctly.

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 940 BE
MOBO: ASUS M4A78
GPU: XFX ATi HD4870 1GB DDR5
RAM: 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 Crucial Ballstix 800mhz

Over the years I've also bought a new case, SSD, and Coolit ECO ALC (Similar to Corsair H50).
I've also been on 2GB or 3GB RAM for the last year due to dying sticks.

I've got a old pot of ZALMAN ZM-STG1 thermal paste from '09. I'm guessing it's time for a new stick?
Planning to keep the PSU, Case, Drives and possibly the Cooler. Would it be effective enough for the new build?

So just a quick RAM, MOBO, CPU and GPU build. Budget is < ~£500
Built for average gaming use and minor bits of Photoshop and video editing.

Bundles are looking good right now so my initial idea is around:

= £477.46

Would spending a little more benefit much? Maybe a 285 or 280X?
This looks sexy

Bookmarklets have always been my enemy on chrome. Otherwise I'd use the basket one :(

Thanks for looking!

You maybe able to rescue the thermal paste if you warm it up in some hot water.

But paste is so cheap grab a new one.
