Okay so here's what I need help with;
Im looking to upgrade my build at christmas, atm I have a amd phenom x2 560 BE OC @ 3.6 GHz using a coolermaster cpu cooler with a M4m68t mobo I think, I have 8 gb ram and a palit GTS 450 OC @ 920/1840/1850 this is all on a 500w power supply and in my zalman 7z plus case.
At christmas I intend to buy a P8P67 Evo Rev 3 mobo with an i7 2600k and oc it too 4.4-4.6 ghz with a corsair h60, I will keep my gts 450 and buy a Tx850m corsair psu.
Do you guys think that will be a good build? And will it all run on a 850w? I'm also thinking of buying a GTX 560Ti with the option of SLI in the future?

Thanks for the reply guys :) well the only reason I was going for the 2600k over the 2500k is I do some video rendering in vegas for youtube videos and my cpu at the momment can take hours! So I thought the 2600k would give a real improvement, but what you said about the money saved on the 2500k could get a GTX 570 makes me think! Is the 2500k stil reasonable at video rendering when overclocked? I would use it for gaming and recording more than rendering. And will the h60 be good enough to get the overclock of 4.4-4.6 on both 2500k and 2600k?

Thanks! im glad i have joined :) I have already bought the h60 as i got it on "enter website here" for £50 so thought it was a good deal :) Okay from what i have saw i may as well go for the 2500K overclock it to 4.4-4.6 GHz and buy a GTX570 and Sli in the future. Thanks for all the help! will update when i have upgraded :) Will the TX850M be able to run GTX 570's in Sli?

Okay guys I went for the P8P67 Deluxe Rev 3.0 with an i5 2500k CPU and I also bought 8GB of blue Corsair Vengeance to go with my blue lit case and the blue mobo all for £370, so hopefully it will look pretty nice, and then whatever I sell from my old build I can put towards a GTX 570 along with the money left over from the i7 Thanks for the amazing help! i know where to look now ;) Do you know the best make for the GTX 570?

it was sarcasm about the 1,5kw :)

and L15T3R why did you go with a p67 motherboard when you where adviced to get a z68? if you wanted the asus the p8z68-v/gen3 or p8z68-v pro/gen3 would have been the better choice.

even if you don't use all the extra features of the z68 chipset the onboard vga would have been usefull for if/when the graphics card dies you can still use the pc(tho no high end gaming) till you get it sorted.

oh and if you plan on overclocking you will want a 3rd party cooler, the fins on the ram(unless you went for the lp versions) will interfer with air coolers.

don't see a point of making any suggestions as you'll simply go with something completly different or told not to go with.

Okay do you think i should return the P8P67 Deluxe Mobo and buy a P8Z68-V PRO Gen3 for the same price? As it is due on the 22nd and I can return it without charges (i think)
Please need help bad
And i have an H60 for cooling will it be enough for overclocking?
