You've got a 120GB SSD thrown in for the same money
Still going for the 2600K?
Yeah I want to go for the 2600K, the SSD, I though I might as well, as I was looking to spend £600 on the upgrade anyway.
OK so the final list will look like
Looks good.
Just make sure your Megahalems has LGA 1155 mounts. If not you can buy them separately for ~£6.
Thanks for the heads up, it probably doesn't have the mounts as I bought the Megahalems when the 1366 CPUs released.
If your spending £150 on a Z68 board, it seems silly not to choose the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO as it has all similar features but it has integrated graphics, which the GIgabyte lacks, so if you ever have a problem with your GPU (touch wood) then you've got a backup, and you will also have Lucid Virtu which will switch between the integrated and discrete graphics to give you the best mix of performance and power consumption.
That's just my opinion though![]()
EDIT: looking at reviews, the lucid virtue feature isn't very reliable at all. I may just stick with the gigabyte.
