Hi all,

Basically as the title states I have a budget of 1250 quid.

I need a monitor, I am looking at this. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-052-BQ
at 130 quid.

If I pick that monitor I will have a budget of 980 left for the actual build.
I would like a GTX670 which I think is probably the best price/performance for my budget.
I would like this build to last comfortably for 2-2.5 years and handle the majority of games released in that space at 1920x1080 at high settings.
I would be willing to buy another 670 to SLI in future if it would be required.

I've also read that the i5 3XXXs series have much higher temps than the i5 2XXX, with little performance boost. I intend to OC this rig so I'm wondering if that would be a problem when considering a 3XXX chip.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

In the end it doesn't really matter. You can't overclock the 3570K as high as the 2500K, but it's got higher stock performance. In the end, take the 3570K, and overclock to 4.2GHz. That should be plenty.

The Matterhorn will give you that, and it's on offer at the moment. Else the True Spirit 120, CM 212 evo, CM 612 will also give you good overclocks.

With a little bit more money left over for a better display, overclocked GPU, case and whatnot.
