So, I am in the process of putting together 2 x 5.1 systems in my house. One is now complete, with B&W 685's up front, a HTM62 centre, AS2 Sub and 686 rears. Driven off an Onkyo 609 amp. Finally.
Now the second system is almost there. Again I have B&W 685's up front and 683's for rears. But this time with a Wharfdale SW150 sub. I am thinking of upgrading both the subs eventually, but don't really know which one to do first really.
Anyway, the issue is now with the centre on the second system. This system was originally a Wharfedale Diamond 9.0 system, so had 9.0's all round with the 9.0CC centre speaker. But it has slowly been upgraded to the B&W speakers.
Until recently, my other system had the B&W M1 centre speaker, but now has the HTM62. So my choice is between using the Wharfdale or the B&W as a centre channel on my second system. Any ideas what one is better?
I am considering upgrading to another HTM (61 or 62) as a centre for the second system, and then adding another M1 and running a 7.1 system, but then again, I am also seriously considering just Bi-Amping both sets of 685 fronts instead. But for now, it's between the Wharfdale and the little B&W for a centre.
