Building a first PC

Hi, New to the forums here and i'm looking to build a pc for maxing Crysis 2 and World of warcraft and was wondering if these parts would work and if i needed to change anything

I will be installing windows 7 64 bit on it i am not too sure about the motherboard and the ram and i think this should be able to max crysis and wow just looking for you people who know a lot more about this then me to give me some insight to this build working and any adjustments that are needed

The GPU is too expensive for what is essentially a £120 card.

either spend more for a ATI 6950 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-028-HS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752

or buy a ATI 5870 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-147-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1711

You should have no issues running anything at all on that system the only possible thing that might slow it down in Crysis 2 might be the GTX460, if you can stretch a little further I would recommend the GTX480 which is on par with the GTX570. If not then no matter as it is still a killer system imho.

Thanks for the quick reply as for the PSU do you know any around that price which is good but modular as i really dont want unnecessary cables lying about

its the only one in stock, thats any good and will cope with the system.

There is this PSU but it is more expensive by about £20 or so but it is in stock and is an excellent PSU afaik.

Don't skimp on the PSU, read Zzzac's threads, you will get the gist of why.
