Good budget case with 4 120mm fans for cooling, digital temp display and fan controller. The cooling is important as i went with the 6850 as i would suggest you overclock that to get close to the 6870 for less cash.

It's still £100 under budget, once I know exactly what you need or don't need we can tweak it. You could get an i5K CPU in maybe or a much better GPU or even a SSD.

EDIT

Just seen your post......so you need a screen, keyboard, we can skip the OS if you download the developers copy of windows 8 for now ;)

Thank you I will look in to it, I was looking into getting a i5 intel processer will that change any components you have put down?

Thank you both you have given me some ideas to think about, I won't be buying it all in one I am going to be buying it over a couple of months, so it good you have kept close to the budget thank you.

The Z77 also has lucid MVP it uses the CPUs IGP to boost the GPU. So overclocking the 6850 makes sense so it's being boosted twice :)

I wouldn't pay £120 for the 6870. The Nvidia 460 is basically the same price and can be overclocked to the same speed. The 460 adds cuda support and HDAO lighting, nice but is it worth £40 over the 6850? ;)
