Hi ppl, about ten yrs ago i went on a course to "build your own pc"
I managed to succsessfully build one and i have never attempted one since.
I now wish to try again, 1) for the cost saving and 2) for the experience.
I am looking at building a new pc to use for gamimg, I want an E6600, and 8800gtx, but I also want a mother board that i will be able to use with the quad processors when the price's drop.
I also want a coolermaster stacker 830 case.
I am a bit nervous about building this pc, I could do with some advice and some thought on what mobo/ram/cooler etc.

I will be connecting this to a 42" sharp 1080p hdtv.

Regards Mick

could someome spec me up a good motherboard and ram for an e6600, don't forget i want it to be able to utilise a quad core processor at some point.
regards mick

i'm currently waiting for the bits for the spec you are wanting, i went with

Asus P5b-Plus mobo
E6600 C2D
2gb geil ram
BFG 8800 gts 320mb
corsair 520w psu
19" OCUK value monitor
320gb Deskstar T7K500

total about 780 methinks, dont know exact total cos i didnt buy all the bits from OCUK as they didnt have some of the bits.... like the mobo and HD...
