Hiya,
Im looking to buy a new PC. Will be mainly used for gaming, but also for net browsing, music and film watching. I want to be able to play games like Crysis and Unreal 3 on max settings (1680x1050) at a decent FPS (no lower than 60fps average)
So far the only parts that im dead set on are.

Graphics card - eVGA 8800GTX
CPU - Intel Q6600

Havn't got a clue on motherboard, RAM, PSU, or what kind of cooling i would need.

Would you guys be so kind as to recommend me a good motherboard, RAM, etc. that would go well with the two components above.

Budget is in the region of £800 - 1000, excluding a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

I will be ordering late December/early January, so whatever you guys reccomend now can go over the £1000 budget as by the time i order prices would have hopefully dropped a bit.

Thanks,

Alex

Go for a Gigabyte P35 motherboard.
2 gig of 6400 memory will do such as Geil.
Get a decent PSU such as Corsair or Enermax 600w or above.
I don't overclock so I use the standard cooler.

Corsair hx 520 will be fine if you don't plan on sli
Board get a p35 board of whatever takes your fancy
ram i would get the crucial ballistix pc 5300/6400/8500 as a lot of 6400 wont hit higher mhz .
But then by december everythings changed so pointless to ask now imo.
