Hey, I've been browsing these forums for a while now but have only just signed up to post. I'm planning on getting a new cpu/gpu/ram/motherboard to replace my 6000+/2900pro and was hoping you guys could help me.

Those are the 4 products I'm looking at. The only one I'm sure of is the graphics card, as graphics is the only category that I'm up to date on at the moment, and I plan on unlocking it to a 6970 at some point.

As for the others, I have no idea if any of those will bottleneck each other, or whether that memory is compatible etc. I picked that motherboard because it was cheap and compatible with that processor. I don't plan on going crossfire In the future so the 1 pciE slot is ok, but I probably will overclock in the future (I've never done it before but there's a first time for everything right).

Do you guys have any suggestions on the cpu, memory and motherboard?

I have a 520w psu, and a Centurion 534 +Plus case (think the card will just squeeze in).
Thanks a lot!

Hey guys, thanks a lot for replying. Yeah I'll go with that cpu and motherboard then.

How come you recommend that motherboard just out of curiosity?, and also do you think 4gb of that ram is enough or should I get 6, (or different ram altogether). Last questions I promise, thanks for the help!

The MB RJC said uses the newer 800 chipset.
As for ram 4 GB should be enough depending on what you plan to use the comp for.
You can always add another 4 GB later if needed.

Just ordered, thanks a lot for the help guys appreciate it.

And I got confused with the VAT offer, thought it was until the 12th but that's a different offer (the banner on the front page), gutted, missed it by 2 hours
