I am looking to build a new system. There is some nice stuff at OcUK to buy and I have come up with the three things I would like to buy to make up a new system...

Core I7 bundle...

LianLi ATX case...

Akasa 600w PSU...

I will put the other components in from my old system. My PCI-EX BFG 7950GT, my SATA2 HDD and my SATA1 DVD-RW.

Two questions...
1) Would all these components work together? I feel it would but would like a second opinion!
2) Can OcUK build this bundle into the case for me to save time and effort?

Cheers!

I personally wouldn't get that PSU. Choose something like a Zalman, Corsair, Coolermaster, PC P&C or BeQuiet.

Also why not upgrade that ageing GPU? If you're going for i7, you might aswell spend that little bit more and get a new graphics card.

I'm sure OcUK can build it to your specifications, but you'll have to contact them for that.

Answer to question 1 would be yes your current hardware you intend to port over to the new build will work fine with the i7 bundle you have chosen.
however looking at your current video card you may wish upgrade this at the same time, it all depends on what you are using your pc for.
Answer to question 2 i would send them a webnote prior to purchasing your hardware and ask if they can build it ready for you just to add your hdd, dvd-rw and video card.
they may charge a small fee for doing so but it will be worth while to know that the system should work directly out of the box once you have added your extra bits to it.
