Hi there, my 18th is coming up soon and the parents decided i'm getting a new PC for my birthday. I have been looking around for hardware but I don't know if I am missing anything or if they all piece together or not. Here is a list of what I have found:

  • Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail - £270
  • EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Superclocked Graphics Card with ACX Cooler - 3GB - £560
  • Corsair Memory Vengeance Low Profile Black 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz CAS 9 XMP Quad Channel - £150
  • BitFenix Shadow Tower Case - Midnight Black - £55
  • Corsair H80 Factory Refurbished Hydro CPU Water Cooler for Intel and AMD Processors - £41
  • Western Digital WD20EURS 2TB AV-GP Hard Drive 24 x 7 Enterprise HDD - £77
  • Corsair HX 850W Professional Gold 80+ GOLD Power Supply - £130
  • Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI Sound Card OEM - £23
  • Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H Intel Z87 Socket 1150 Motherboard - £110
  • BDC-207DBK Blu Ray Rom / DVDRW writer from Pioneer - £47
  • Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit SP1 Operating System Single OEM DVD - £70

I'm pretty sure I have made many stupid mistakes in picking these components, I could just do with some advice on the build, just in-case something wont fit or i could get something better for a cheaper value.

I'm a little bit over the budget I have as it needs to be less than £1500.

Any help would be great, thank you!:)

Thats nice, but Win8 uurrrghhhhhhh

BUMP - I would really like a Bitfenix Prodigy M case if someone could create a good gaming build around that?

Would greatly appreciate it!

What monitor are you looking at running and how many.

Your budget can allow for the 4770k, but you can always drop it down to the 4760k.
