Building a new RIG

Well, in that case get the best GPU you can afford.

What monitor and res will you be playing at?
For that sort of money you want a really good monitor.

I was thinking about this monitor: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-058-DE

Also for the sake of being lazy i might end up just getting the rig built for me by OCUK. I dont imagine the charge for building the rig will be massive?
Thanks again for all your help guys by the way :)

EDIT: also i dont really have time due to work to build it :( Will be heart breaking having a monster PC sat there in bits for weeks!

Oh indeed it would, I'm not saying it's a bad idea to do that, I was just saying the 600W was plenty for the setup as it is now. Although if he's going for a high end card now he might be better to sell it in a couple of years and buy another card rather than hassle with Crossfire. I think an awful lot of money is spent on high end motherboards and PSUs just so people can SLI later, but they don't get around to it.

But for future proofing? surely a good 800W PSU would allow him easily to CF later on without the need to buy a new PSU?

Yes it would, but the OP has`nt mentioned that possibility. If that is something he may be considering, then the size of his PSU will be considered also.
But at the moment the OP is just seeking advice, which we can only give based on his questions and info.

Not a bad choice to have it built, all things considered. If you're doing it all the time you could do it fast, but realistically it'd take half a day or more if you wanted to get all the cabling perfect and you ran into a problem or two.

You could also choose one of OcUK's prebuilt systems and configure it to your needs.

Got to have at least a 24" http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=17&catid=510 some good bargains here.

Also is there actually any difference between the Asus P8Z68 DELUXE GEN3 and the Asus P8Z68-V GEN3? I honestly cant figure out why the deluxe is more expensive!

Well, there's the USB box front panel thing. Also I think there's additional USB ports/headers. Extra cables...

Fundamentally though I don't spot a difference - same number of PCIe lanes.

The bitfenix has 2xUSB 2.0 and 2x USB 3.0 ports on the front. Going for the P8Z68-V GEN3 isnt going to make some of them redundant is it? Due to the lack of extra headers etc.

If you cant tell im not the final word when it comes to computer knowledge. I've built rigs before and like to think i know a fair bit but when it comes to spending £1500 on a PC (which you can get a decent car with) i want to ask the professionals! I have no faith in myself hahah

There are quite a few noticeable differences. Best way way to check, open 2 windows displaying both mobos and scroll both down and check each section against each other.
I always get the board that suits my needs.
