Building a new system, just some advice needed

I'm building a new system hopefully for my girlfriends birthday/Christmas present and at the moment I'm in the process of selling my E8400 and getting a E5200 (As a trade with some cash) so hoping to use that.

So my questions is can I use that with this motherboard :

And if so could I use some ram I have lying around Kingston DDR2 667Mhz ? as it says 800Mhz or is that just the maximum value it can take ?

You would have got much more tech for your money if you looked more closely at 785G paired with an Athlon II though . . . . Superior in every way . . .

Its would only be for work/tiny gaming (spore mainly), and basically I would like to spend as little as possible so using my old components that are getting thrown out of my current system.
