Is it possible to build a mid range gaming PC for £400? The only thing I'll need is a desktop, no keyboard mouse os or monitor

Would be looking to do some gaming on the PC like WoW. I wouldn't mind skipping an SSD for now if it allowed me to get a better CPU/GPU

You could get quite a decent pc for that if you used second hand parts from the MM. You could get a 2500k/Z77 motherboard and 8 Gb memory for around £150-170. You should also get a GTX970 for around £120 leaving £110-130 for a case/psu hdd. Brand new you won't get much for your money due to the ridiculous pricing of cpu's and gpu's these days.

Just about.

AMD Athlon X4 845 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor. Should be able to hit over 4Ghz.
Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-DS2
Patriot Signature 8GB (2 x 8GB) 1333mhz cas 9. Should do 1866Mhz cas 11
Sapphire Radeon RX 470 4096MB
Corsair Carbide Series 88R MicroATX Mid Tower Case
XFX TS 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

MM is a good idea. I was thinking of maybe getting a used GPU to save cash

This looks decent but ideally I'd want an intel build as I'd like to upgrade the CPU and I'm not to sure about AMD's

I really like that 2nd one I think I'll go for that, is that about as good value as I can get

Also I'll be needing all parts to be instock really, the 470 is out of stock is there anything else to go for

£420 really would be the maximum I can spend this comes to £445 is there anything I can change. 1TB hdd's are so expensive, I won't really need anything that big yet as I'll be getting an SSD in a couple of weeks. Can I go for a 500GB hdd is it much cheaper

Ignore what i said you don't need another fan for that case, what games are you looking to play?

Thanks for that but now that my budget can go to £450 I might aswell spend up to that :) Don't really want to get anything b grade

You could buy a used GPU form members market ? Ignore the last one linked it had the old price as I had it saved to a sticky on build i was planing. Maybe swap the i3 out for the Pentium?

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £296.61
(includes shipping: £11.70)

I'm a bit confused the spec you created which went to about £450 isn't priced right ?

Yea sorry about that I made that a while back and saved it to desktop the prices changed a bit look at the last one i posted, I did not add a GPU as im don't no much about the new RX 460/470.
