Hi guys

I've said I'll build a PC for the inlaws to replace their 7 year old HP desktop tower.

They don't do much on it apart from photos, internet, and email, however they want it to last as long as possible. They were going to spend £600 at JL on another HP abomination but I've told them I could probably give them what they needed for 350 max.

They need:

- Tower plus internals.
- Windows.
- Mouse and keyboard.

The only other thing is I'd like them to be able to play HD video without stuttering.

I'd be very grateful for any spec recommendations you might have :).

• Selected the board as it has SATAIII and USB3.0, also my favorite cheap board is out of stock - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-172-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1907 -this also has SATAIII, USB3.0 and even HDMI/DVI and VGA output for the CPU's built-in core.
• A gaming mouse also makes a good point and click mouse;)
• The motherboard features a HDMI output for the CPU's built-in HD2000 GFX, but I included a cheap ATI card that has a DVI/VGA and HDMI output.
• 1TB harddrive as you mentioned HD films/movies, so may want the space.

Actually I cant see any reason why the HD2000 core cant do what you want, so heres a slightly changed suggestion with a motherboard that has DVI and VGA connectivity,

Thanks very much stulid, but I probably wasn't clear enough...I've told them I could probably do what they needed for £350 max, that means I want to do it for £350 :D.

The motherboard has a VGA (DSUB) connection only.

Pentium has HD1000 GFX built-in.

Adding a ATI 6*** low end card wont be an issue if you need more connectivity or video processing power.
